1. Foil Stamping → Embossing - Industry Standard, Stable & Efficient

This is the most common and reliable combination in packaging and cultural & creative products: first transfer flat metallic foil via hot or cold foil stamping, then apply pressure to the stamped area with a pair of male and female dies to create a 局部 raised relief. Its core advantages include an intact foil layer with no cracking or peeling, high registration accuracy and clean edges, with relatively flexible requirements for paper and process conditions. It balances metallic gloss and tactile volume, suits most designs (logos, titles, borders, large patterns), and is the preferred solution that balances effect and production stability.

2. Embossing → Foil Stamping - Extreme Volume, Premium Customization

In this method, a raised 3D pattern is first formed with male and female dies, then foil stamping is applied to the raised surface. It delivers far stronger volume and light-shadow gradation than the "foil stamping → embossing" sequence, with significantly higher visual impact, making it ideal for luxury packaging, premium gift boxes and exclusive cultural & creative products pursuing top-tier texture. However, the curved raised surface requires a "form-fitted" stamping die, increasing registration difficulty and demanding high process precision; defects such as incomplete stamping, edge foil flaking and foil layer cracking may occur. Strict requirements apply to paper thickness, rigidity and equipment accuracy, so it is mainly used for small-batch, high-value-added custom products.

3. Simultaneous Foil Stamping & Embossing - Efficient One-Step Forming, Ideal for Mass Production

Using a dedicated combined die for foil stamping and embossing , both processes are completed in one single operation to achieve "one-pass forming". This greatly shortens the production cycle and reduces registration errors, making it perfect for medium to large-scale production of standardized patterns (fixed logos, repeated borders), especially widely used in standard packaging for alcohol and cosmetics. However, the combined die is more costly to make and limits design flexibility; complex gradients or irregular patterns are hard to realize, so it is better suited for products with simple structures and high repeatability.

4. Selective Foil Stamping + Selective Embossing - Creative Layered Expression, Enhanced Texture

Not limited to combining ffoil stamping and embossing on the same pattern, this approach processes different areas with either foil stamping or embossing separately, or applies local foil stamping and local embossing to the same pattern, creating a layered effect of "glossy foil areas + volumetric embossed areas". It offers maximum flexibility and can be combined with silk screen special colors, spot UV, lamination and other processes to create a multi-dimensional texture of "metal + volume + color + tactility". Suitable for cultural & creative gift boxes, book covers, premium labels and other products pursuing differentiation and design expression, it is an ideal choice for small-batch customization and creative design.
