1. Unify Pre-design and Die-cutting Standards
Before printing the packaging boxes, clearly define the dimensional parameters of the inner linings and accessories for simple gift packing, and conduct dimensional linkage verification on the design drawings of the box bodies and inner linings. For small gift boxes, ensure that the dimensional accuracy of the die-cutting tools is maintained within ±0.5mm. At the same time, set a reasonable allowance for folding and creasing to avoid dimensional deformation after folding caused by excessively deep or shallow creases.
2. Strengthen Dimensional Inspection in Post-printing Processes
After the completion of die-cutting and creasing of the packaging boxes, first extract the first-piece samples for manual folding and trial assembly, and check whether the length, width, height of the box bodies and the gap between the lids and bodies meet the design requirements. During mass production, conduct dimensional sampling inspections at fixed batch intervals, and timely adjust the pressure of the die-cutting equipment and the position of the die-cutting tools to prevent the accumulation of dimensional deviations caused by equipment wear.
3. Standardize the Manual Packaging Process
Develop standardized operation guidelines for folding and assembly, clearly specify the folding sequence (e.g., fold the bottom first, then the sides) and the position of pressure points to prevent box deformation caused by the operators' arbitrary operation methods. Conduct pre-job training for packaging workers to ensure they have the ability to identify defective products with dimensional deviations and reject them in a timely manner.
4. Adjust Processes According to Material Characteristics
Different types of cardboard and corrugated paper have different shrinkage and expansion rates, and their dimensions are particularly prone to change after absorbing moisture. Therefore, uniformly control the temperature and humidity of the production environment in the printing, die-cutting and packaging processes (recommended temperature: 20–25℃, recommended humidity: 50%–60%) to ensure the stability of packaging dimensions for simple gift packing. At the same time, adjust the width of the crease lines according to the material thickness to prevent edge warping and dimensional shrinkage of thick paper after folding.
